1st Meeting
The 1st meeting went off without a hitch, about 40 people came together for the cause.
Genealogy was discussed and also the meaning of the day.
April 16, 2010 was personally picked for the meeting in honor of John Samuel Green's burial. Samuel was buried on Easter Sunday, April 16, 1775. Green was honored as the man who sold his acreage to build the town of Hope.

We actually had over 60 guests at the kick-off. It was a great start and we are grateful to all who want to help and donate. A special thanks to Meagan who set up this blog!
ReplyDeleteHopefully this will become a place for family members and genealogists to communicate with each other and share info.
