I am looking for information on a Revolutionary War Soldier, Christopher J. Helffer.
On his tombstone it says, Christopher J. Helffer died June 15, 1802. in his 73rd year of his life.
Does anyone know anything on this man?

Israel Gibbs
In looking for genealogy links for Swayze Cemetery, I checked my genealogy file. I am a Swayze and Hildebrant Descendant, so I have alot of information on both families.
I was looking through the list I compiled in 2002 of burials for Swayze and also a list I have of transcriptions done in the 1930's. Comparing, I suppose, when I came across Israel S. Gibbs. I knew he was in my family file but I had no clue as to his connection to me or to the land owner? So I dug further, and found that he was the great grandson of Israel Swayze, the land owner, and my some crazy numbered cousin :).
Israel S. Gibbs was born March 6, 1810 in Warren County, NJ (at the time it was Sussex, and died in Hope on December 25, 1882, Christmas Day.
Israel was the son of James Gibbs and Margaret Swayze. Now this is were it gets tricky.
Israel was the grandson of (GIBBS): John Gibbs and Nancy Swayze. (Nancy was the daughter of Israel Swayze b. 1720 and Elizabeth Seward b. 1723)
and his mother Margaret Swayze Gibbs was the daughter of Samuel Swayze and his wife Elizabeth. Margaret's grandparents were Barnabus Swayze and Margaret Hannah Honeywell (also my 7th great grandparents).
So Israel's mother and father (Margaret and James) were, in actuallity, 2nd cousins.
Israel and his wife Phebe Ann Luce b.1817 and died 3/23/1877 had the following children :
1. William Gibbs b: 1 AUG 1839
2. Martin Gibbs b: 1 OCT 1840
3. Elizabeth Ann Gibbs b: 12 JUL 1842
4. James Marshall Gibbs b: 28 MAR 1844
5. Martha Maria Gibbs b: 24 APR 1845
6. Phebe Margaret Gibbs b: 22 NOV 1846
7. Rachel A.(possibly Ann) Gibbs b: 22 OCT 1850
8. Aaron Gibbs , M. D. b: 28 OCT 1852
9. Israel R. Gibbs b: 19 NOV 1857
10. Savilia Gibbs b: 25 APR 1861
More to come....
